BE-MOVE

(BEREAN EVANGELIZATION MOVEMENT)

Most interestingly, since early 2024, GIBK has been conducting its first BE-MOVE program, which also included representatives from several other Indonesian churches in Southern California.

This BE-MOVE program teaches practical evangelism, group guidance, and lectures on other discipleship topics. The material is taken from Campus Crusade for Christ in the USA and formulated into an intensive 26-week Discipleship curriculum, which includes both classroom lectures and field practice.

Graduates are expected to return to their respective churches to spread the word about this Discipleship program and become GIBK’s ministry partners.

The second BE-MOVE program also concluded in 2025 with participants from California and Colorado. The third BE-MOVE program will begin in April 2026, targeting representatives from other Indonesian churches in the USA. Each BE-MOVE participant (also called a student) will be accompanied by a coach to help them grow in the knowledge, skills, and attitudes of a disciple of Christ.

To date, BE-MOVE has served over 200 people in the USA using the book The 4 Spiritual Laws and Basic Advanced Guidance 1 through 6.

KEK (BOOK EXPOSITION CLASS)

In addition, GIBK also offers a Book Exposition Class (KEK), which sequentially discusses the 66 books of the Bible, from Genesis to Revelation. This KEK began in 2024, meeting twice weekly. To date, the KEK has completed Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, and Numbers. One cycle of KEK activities (from Genesis to Revelation) takes approximately five years.
